Making Newspaper Bags

We have started training a fresh batch of ladies in the art of newspaper bag making. Fun was had by all who were teaching and who were learning. The ladies seemed to have picked it up quite quickly. Now we just need to practice more to make them perfect and that I can see happening very fast.

 We have just a handful now. But word is beginning to spread about what we are doing. There are a couple of ladies who have picked this up very fast and these will eventually become trainers.
An appeal for newspapers, card and twine has been issued. Various banks and organisations have already offered to support us. Regular collections have been arranged with these people. But we need more. As the ban on plastic bags is enforced and an alternative has to be provided and sourced. Newspapers bags is one and the next thing eventually will be cloth shopping bags made from recycled materials and fabrics.
